Biografía completa
Lana Clarkson was an American actress and model who became an iconic figure in the world of 1980s cult cinema. Born on October 30, 1962, in Long Beach, California, she began her career as a fashion model before transitioning into acting with a brief appearance in the 1982 classic Fast Times at Ridgemont High. Her striking height and athletic build soon made her a favorite for action and fantasy roles, leading to her breakout performance in the 1985 sword-and-sorcery film Barbarian Queen. Produced by B-movie legend Roger Corman, the role established her as a "Queen of the B-movies" and a staple of the drive-in theater era.
Throughout the 1980s and 90s, Clarkson maintained a steady presence in both film and television, appearing in projects like the 1984 thriller Blind Date, the comedy Amazon Women on the Moon, and popular series such as Knight Rider, The A-Team, and Night Court. Beyond her screen work, she was a frequent performer at The Groundlings improv theater and a well-known figure in the Hollywood social scene, eventually working as a hostess at the House of Blues in West Hollywood.
Tragically, her life and career were cut short on February 3, 2003, when she was killed at the mansion of music producer Phil Spector. Her death led to a high-profile legal battle that ultimately resulted in Spector's conviction for second-degree murder. Today, Lana Clarkson is remembered by fans not only for her screen presence and contribution to cult cinema but also for her vibrant personality and professional dedication within the industry.
